What I experienced Resistance

Ce que j’ai connu de la Résistance

Written by Marcel Chadebech – ex Commandant Carron of the Maquis (resistance) in the Valley d’Azergues.

This book, in French details the activities of Commandant Carron in Lyon and the surrounding area. Having narrowly escaped arrest on many occasions he  left Lyon in 1943 taking refuge in Arith, Savoy.
In September 1943,  he joined the Maquis F.T.P., Camp Desthieux, in Chamelet, (Rhone) where he was promoted deputy to the military chief of the Camp. The objectives of this Camp were mainly the strategic Givors-Paray le Monial railway. Along with the Military Chief they alternately managed the incessant sabotage and derailment actions that virtually paralysed the rail line through the Valley d’Azergues
